i’m peter yock. i’m a brother of Jesus, rejoicing amidst sorrow, and living in Lismore on the north coast of nsw. i’m part of the family at southern cross presbyterian church, enjoy serving in music ministry, and work at southern cross uni.

i’m looking forward to the day when sorrow will turn into pure joy (john 16:20).

i have an increasingly strong conviction that singing together in church helps people to grow in their relationship with Jesus. more: the fruit of growing in our relationship with Jesus is growing in our relationships with each other, and making Jesus appealing to the non-believers amongst us. singing in church is a precious joy, and music ministry tends to be a seriously undervalued word ministry in most Australian churches. i hope to post some helpful stuff about music ministry here on this blog.

forgive me if if that looks like random funny stuff most of the time.
